Personally I just hit level 15 after finishing the first three Windurst missions and I'm once again bamboozled by what I'm supposed to do next, but I guess that's the charm.

You can have two chat windows and make it so one of them is just story dialogue.

The rewards also aren't great from what I've played so far. It can be fun but a lot of them rely on random drops which is a lot to keep track of.

"Quests" meanwhile are not very well signposted and require thinking and not just running to waypoints.

The gate guards give you "Missions" which is the name for the story stuff.

You'd have to really commit to seeing everything in a free trial though, which is a 30 day limit unlike FFXIV.

Is there any FF XI veterans here willing to help with these questions, like how the game is faring today?
